Do I have the cold, the flu, or an infection?

I flew into town Sunday and this hit me Thursday before I went to bed, today I've had a minor fever like 1 degree above my normal temp. I have a soar throat, and sometimes a earache. My nose is sometime runny but I'm not stuffy or congested. I have a soar throat but besides that I feel fine. Is this allergies or something else? And can I do anything to make it better faster?
