Name that audio cable?

What is the name of the audio cable that goes into an ipod or in the back of you computer just the smaller standard audio cable i always thought it was TRS but when i asked for a TRS to RCA converter cable at radio shack the guy acted like I pulled up in a UFO and asked if it was cool if i probed him....
